Alpha brain waves are associated with unfocused, overly receptive states of consciousness and this allows all sorts of $h1t to be pumped into your mind.

Just because you or somebody else thinks something doesn't make it real... and come on... The more people that think something doesn't make it any more real than if it's just a few people thinking it.
